1. Mess with your computer monitor
Yes, the colors are pretty but nooooooo it's very bad for the monitor.
2. Decorate the side of your computer
Guess what? Your hard drive is magnetic-if you expose it to a magnet you will wipe it clean. It may take a while, but having magnets near a computer is a no!
3. Keep near a credit card
It will wipe the stripe so the credit card machines can't read it, and it may cause you to get stranded. Hint: the checkout counters at many retail stores have giant magnets to deactivate the security tags. Keep your purse and wallet off the counters!
Bonus Hint:
Speakers have BIG magnets. Don't use your speaker as a laptop stand! (see number 2). I've seen people do this!
